A Worcester-based food manufacturer and supply firm is expanding to operate 24/7 after experiencing significant growth in demand for its products in the past few months.
Vandemoortele Worcester’s history stretches back more than100 years, employing more than 5,000 people globally.
Following major investment in the plant capability throughout 2020, the company, based in Lower Broadheath, is now expanding to operate 24 hours, seven days a week.
Mark Parton, site manager, said: “The completion of the final installation stage of the investment into our Worcester production facility now puts us into a strong position to fulfil our ambition to be the leading player in the UK pre-proofed bakery product market.
“The unique proposition and benefits of being able to service the UK market with top quality Viennoiserie offerings produced right here in Worcestershire has generated great interest from our major UK retail customers.
“The additional growth means we are now able to expand our operation ahead of schedule and offer a number and range of opportunities for people to join us on our journey.”
