VUBA named East Yorkshire’s number one high-growth company

28th Jun

Beverley-based resin bound manufacturer and supplier VUBA has been recognised as being among the UK’s top 1% high-growth companies in FEBE’s latest Growth 100 list, registering at number 23.

This list showcases the fastest-growing privately owned businesses in the country, with an emphasis on entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, the criteria specify that the founder must still be involved in the day-to-day running of the company.Established in 2009, VUBA is among the UK’s fastest-growing manufacturers (with an annual turnover of nearly £10 million) and has enjoyed great success in recent years. The company now incorporates three brands – Easihold, Vista and VUBA – all of which have seen tremendous growth leading the group to extend sales to international markets. VUBA’s diverse suite of brands are all sector leading and its innovative products are used by customers globally.

With growth expected to continue over the coming years, VUBA is also planning to open a new 4,000m2 advanced resin manufacturing facility in the next 18 months, a move that will act as a platform to the company’s further development.

VUBA founder and owner, Sean Scott said: “We are delighted that our hard work, dedication to quality and focus over the past couple of years has been recognised by FEBE. Our progression as a company has been a real success story, and we expect to see similar levels of growth over the next two years.

“Ultimately, we’ve always tried to do the right thing for our customers and fine-tuned our business model accordingly. For example, our DIY products helped people during the pandemic and are still doing well. That’s because our philosophy has always been around delivering the right product, at the right price to the right people – that’s how we’ve stayed competitive.”

Sean also recognises the contribution of colleagues in VUBA’s continued growth story. He added: “Our culture is entrepreneurial, open and transparent, and we always aim to maximise people’s skills. We remove barriers for our staff and give them the freedom to gravitate towards what they enjoy doing. The FEBE listing is excellent, but we can’t stand still: I’ll continue to ensure that the passion for what we do comes from the top so we can look forward with confidence.”
