A leading regional solicitors’ firm has launched its Christmas dinner project for 2023, aiming to support families and make sure they enjoy a festive meal on December 25.
Pepperells is now in its fifth year of the scheme, which provides families with a food pack containing everything needed to create a basic dinner on Christmas Day.
The firm works closely with churches, community programmes and charities across all of its offices to select families who have fallen on hard times as well as people using food banks to make ends meet.
A spokesman said: “We believe the Christmas Dinner Project has never been more important, with the current economic climate, and the pressure families face at this time of year can be overwhelming.
“Without this project, some families will go without a Christmas Day meal. Are you a business or an individual that could donate a dinner for just £25 and provide a family with a food pack to prepare their own meal?”
The food packs will contain:
- A whole chicken
- Sausages
- Vegetables
- Potatoes
- Christmas pudding
- Treats for the children
This project works with partners and families across Pepperells’ offices inHull, Willerby, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Lincoln, Beverley and Barton.
