Smailes Goldie Group named among UK’s Top 50 SME apprenticeship employers

Smailes Goldie Group, one of the region’s leading independent accounting and business advisory firms, has been ranked 18th in the UK Government’s Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers for 2023.

The accolade is recognition for its exceptional commitment to its apprenticeship programme, contributing not only to the development of individuals, but also to the broader economy as well. By creating high-quality opportunities for individuals across East and North Yorkshire, Smailes Goldie Group is directly helping to bridge skills gaps in key areas.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised in the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers,” said Luke Taylor, partner at Smailes Goldie Group. “Our focus on diversity and commitment to nurturing talent has not only benefited our team but also the wider community.”

The league tables, produced annually, showcase the most exceptional apprenticeship programmes in the country over the past 12 months. Rankings are based not solely on the number of apprentices each firm takes on but, crucially, on their commitment to diversity and apprentice achievements.

Luke added: “This ranking is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Smailes Goldie Group. We believe in empowering individuals, regardless of their background, to achieve their potential. As we continue to grow, we will strive to deliver even better opportunities for apprentices in the future.”
