North East entrepreneur announced as judge for Elite Business Top 100 awards

In celebration of the UK’s most forward-thinking and innovative SME businesses, Elite Business Online has announced the launch of the Elite Business Top 100 and is inviting entries from across the country.

The Elite Business Top 100 will celebrate the brightest SME businesses in Britain and it is open to all privately owned UK-based businesses, with entries being judged across eight key areas, with the aim of gauging growth, ambitions, innovation and contributions to their team and community.

This year’s judging panel is made up of leading business figures in the UK. North East entrepreneur of the year, Sophie Milliken, has been announced as a judge. The full judging panel includes:

• Charlie Mullins founder and former CEO, Pimlico Plumbers
• Emma Sayle, founder, CEO, Speaker
• Lara Morgan, founder, investor and entrepreneur
• Michael Hayman, entrepreneur, author and broadcaster, chairman and co-founder, Seven Hills
• Piers Linney, founder and CEO, Moblox
• Matt Jones, CEO, Rebel Lion Advertising
• Simone Roche, CEO Northern Power Women
• Sophie Milliken, CEO, Moja

Sophie said: “I’m super-proud to be a judge and North East ambassador for the Elite Business Top 100. Having launched and scaled businesses in the North East, I know what a great place it is to do business. I want to encourage local businesses to put themselves forward so we can put the North East on the map for innovation and entrepreneurial talent.”

Elite Business 100 Finalists will be announced in January 2023 and are entitled to a free directory in the guide and on the Elite Business website. An awards evening will also take place in London on March 17.

The No1 winners of the EB 100 will also receive a full hospitality package from Club Wembley, including a premium corporate suite, with full catering included for the CEO and seven of their senior management team, at an England International game at Wembley Stadium in March 2023.
