New practice manager joins leading Hull accountants

13th Oct

360 Chartered Accountants has welcomed a new practice manager.

Adrian Hunter (above right) joins the firm with more than 25 years’ experience in senior and strategic management roles across the finance, leisure and hospitality industries.

Andy Steele (above left), director of 360, based in Hull and East Yorkshire, said: “Adrian is a great addition to 360.  His wealth of experience within these specialist sectors will be a fantastic resource not only for 360 but also for many of our clients as they look to adapt and grow in a post pandemic world.”

Adrian, who will now be responsible for managing the business on a day-to-day basis, said: “As a proud Hullensian, I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious team that is so full of talent and ambition. I’m also really looking forward to renewing and creating even more local relationships in our terrific city.”

It comes as 360 launches its latest venture, the Purple Sofa Podcast. Celebrating everything about Hull, there’s an array of topics covered in the very first episode from grassroots sports, culture and blindfolds to the Kraken and Hull’s music scene (with a bit of business and tax news thrown in).

Andy, who co-hosts the podcast with colleague Sean Maloney (left), said: “We wanted to have a podcast to talk about everything that’s great about Hull – because there’s a lot we can be proud of.

“And where better to place it than our famous purple sofa, found in our reception area, which has seated the great and the good over the years.  It’s all a bit tongue-in-cheek (once we’ve quickly updated you on the latest business and tax news) because we wanted it to be a fun listen for everyone.

“Our first guest is the legendary Pete Mills from Hull Kingston Radio.  We’ve got such an amazing music scene in Hull and we are predicting that our great city will become bigger than Liverpool in the 60s and Manchester in the 80s and 90s. You heard it here first!  You can also hear what will be a regular slot, Sean’s Grumble of the Week – and believe me, it’s a corker!”

Sean added: “Being huge sports fans, we also talk about our new charity the 360 Foundation which has been set up to support young people in Hull access grassroots sports and why it’s so important. And we’re promoting some of the great local businesses around.

“As people are starting to return to work and getting stuck in traffic jams around Hull, what a great way to pass the time by tuning into our podcast. It’s a great time to live, play and work here.”
