M.A.D Communications marks ninth year with new look and new team member

M.A.D Communications, an independent copywriting, PR, and social media agency in the North East, is marking its ninth year in business with new branding and a new website and welcoming a brand new member to their growing team – signalling exciting times for a company that continues to go from strength to strength.

Recognised as a thriving, women-led business and founded by Amy Armstrong and Marie Donnelly, Gateshead-based M.A.D Communications offers a complete range of communications services, from social media and digital marketing to copywriting and PR.

Challenging industry norms and pushing boundaries, the M.A.D team work with businesses of all shapes and sizes across the UK and around the globe. Starting life as a lecture room idea in 2013, M.A.D has grown year on year and has continued to thrive, despite a global pandemic.

Marie Donnelly, director, said: “We’re so proud and excited about our new website and branding and of course, it’s been fantastic to welcome a new member to our team. It not only marks new beginnings for M.A.D but our new look is part of our plans to accelerate our business further this year.

With years of experience in providing highly strategic PR and communication campaigns, the M.A.D team, who describe themselves as “a bunch of canny lasses”, have built an impressive portfolio and as a result, now have a proven track record that is testament to its growth.

Amy Armstrong, director, said: “We’re a small team, but we don’t let that stand in our way. And we’re growing all the time. Over the years we have worked hard to establish M.A.D as a credible brand and we are incredibly proud of how far we have come.

Brooke Murphy, who joined the team through the University of Sunderland’s graduate internship scheme, is the company’s new content co-ordinator and is set to bring her wealth of copywriting experience to the team.  

Brooke said: “I’m looking forward to getting fully stuck in and throwing everything I have into projects and creating content for clients. I’m excited to learn along the way and push myself with the support of a lovely team.”

With big plans for 2022, M.A.D Communications is looking forward to continuing to expand its reach, working with clients throughout the North East, the rest of the UK and beyond.
