Hull’s newest specialist IT recruiter has big growth plans following strong start

28th Jul

Hull’s newest specialist IT recruiter, Principal IT, has said it plans to capitalise on a fantastic start to 2021 by doubling its team in the coming year.

The company, based in C4DI, uses the latest in specialist recruitment AI software to help its clients find top-quality talent and candidates find their next role. Since the company launched in January 2021, it has helped more than 30 candidates find new jobs, with no sign of slowing down.

Managing director Glen Halliwell said: “Since our launch in January, we have had the privilege of partnering with some of Hull’s best-known companies. I am confident that we are the only specialist recruiter in the region utilising the AI software we have, giving us an edge over our competition.”

Principal IT has been working with C4DI members and partner businesses, as well as working directly with the C4DI to help grow a number of initiatives.

Dave Keel, chairman of C4DI, said: “We are tremendously excited about the growing relationship between Principal IT and the C4DI. Tech recruitment has become a significant challenge for every area of the UK, much of this due to the change in overall circumstances that has been caused by the pandemic.

“Glen and his team have responded to these demanding times by leveraging their own unrivalled knowledge and experience in this market and combining it with some remarkable AI systems. We are frequently receiving positive and congratulatory comments from our members and partners about their approach to tech recruitment problems.

“Furthermore, we have worked together with the Principal IT team to develop some unique offerings for tech businesses and tech staff that enable an entirely novel way of looking at solutions to recruitment demands. Every business is digital (most of them just don’t realise it yet!) and therefore it is important to engage with the best digital people in the industry – Principal IT is a rapidly growing business that we are proud to be associated with.”

Glen added: “We have had a real surge in demand recently and need to grow to keep up with our clients. By doubling the team in the next 12 months, I am confident we can do this while breaking into new areas. The long-term plan is to have multiple UK locations and international operations in central Europe and America. Watch this space!”
