Glamping retreat signs up to David Bellamy nature challenges

24th Apr

The owners of a glamping and lodges retreat in Pershore have joined a nationwide scheme to pledge their support for nature.

Rich and Matt Jaques, of Bowbrook Lodges, have signed up to the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Challenges, which encourage holiday and residential parks to show how dedicated they are to helping Britain’s wildlife.

The brothers have joined both the Tree-mendous and Wonderful Wetlands challenges, pledging to improve existing habitats for wildlife, create new wildlife habitats and features, and manage their green space in as environmentally friendly a way as possible, while engaging customers and staff in conservation efforts.

To that end, Bowbrook Lodges is now landscaped with 2,500 trees, 250 fruit trees, lakes and wetlands and a mile-long path for easy walks.

Rich said: “We’re really happy to be involved with this initiative and want to encourage others to join in too. What a great way to support a local sustainable business as well as make a pledge to give nature a break.”
