North East-based EMG Solicitors has been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Gold accreditation, recognising its commitment to people management and workplace culture.
With offices in Durham, Newcastle and Darlington, the firm met the stringent requirements of the IIP Gold standard, which assesses leadership, support, training, and the way organisations value their workforce. Only a small proportion of businesses achieve the Gold level, placing EMG among a select group of employers nationally.
The accreditation follows a series of milestones for the firm, including B Corp certification and inclusion in The Times and Sunday Times UK 100 Best Places to Work 2024.
Ian Burke, head of people and culture, said: “This accreditation reflects the culture we’ve developed, one centred around support, learning and development. It’s a credit to the entire team who bring our values to life every day.”
EMG, which recently marked its 10th anniversary, has continued to expand while maintaining a focus on purpose-led growth and staff development. In addition to its North East offices, the firm also has a presence in Penrith and Manchester.
CEO Emma Gaudern said: “At EMG, our people are everything. This award recognises the belief we have in one another and the energy and care we bring to supporting both our clients and each other.”
EMG Solicitors offers legal services including Court of Protection work, family law, wills, trusts and probate, and residential conveyancing.
