Consett-based CAV Systems, a leading provider of ice protection and drag reduction technology to general aviation, commercial aerospace and defence markets worldwide, is celebrating the 25th working anniversary of its dispatch coordinator.
Lesley Robinson, known as Les, works within CAV’s UK dispatch team in Consett, coordinating and liaising with transport companies and customers to get their goods out on time, ensuring parts leave the facility in good condition and in safe hands.
As a show of gratitude for his service and to mark the milestone, CAV – which also has a base in Kansas – rewarded Les with a £1,000 cheque.
Les said: “it’s hard to believe that I’ve been working hard here for the last 25 years. The passage of time just seems to fly by… in my opinion CAV is a great place to work. It was lovely to receive well wishes and kind messages from colleagues, including a cheque from the company and the management team. I will put it to good use. Thank you all.”
Starting his CAV career in December 1999, Les’s long service is a testament to the company’s dedication to keeping staff well managed and happy at this market-leading aerospace ice protection business.
General manager Ian Jacksonbsaid: “At CAV, our people are the foundation of our business. We are always looking to add exceptional people to our team while being lucky enough to have employees who have been with us through our journey.
“Les Robinson celebrates 25 years’ service with CAV. During this time I’m sure Les has seen many changes, some good, some difficult, but all with the intention to grow our business. Well done, Les, looking forward to the next long service anniversary!
