Card Industry Professionals (CIP) has extended its reach across the Irish Sea to offer its services to merchants in the Republic of Ireland.
Earlier this year the North East Lincolnshire company celebrated five years in business and managers say this latest development in its growth plans is a true indication of the company’s continued success.
CIP currently has a 150-strong team of sales professionals which is set to expand quickly. The company has been nominated for numerous awards for innovation and customer service over the past 18 months, including Team of the Year at this year’s UK Fintech Awards, and is highly regarded by its customers with a 5 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot.
Managing director Ciaran Savage attributes the company’s success to offering customers more transparent card processing options that do not attract huge monthly fees or unnecessary transaction charges.
He said: “Our senior team have 40-plus years’ experience in the payments industry and CIP set up to offer merchants a choice, with the focus firmly on providing a high standard of customer service and an in-depth understanding of the products on offer to merchants to suit their individual business requirements.
“I am delighted that we can now take our services to merchants in the Republic of Ireland thanks to our partnerships with Elavon and Worldpay. We are building on our team of local sales professionals and look forward to having a full complement of staff on the ground to continue our five-star level of customer service, for which we have become known in the UK.”
The company has quickly disrupted the fintech market and now supports thousands of businesses to process payments every day.
CIP has formed several strategic partnerships focusing on the latest payments hardware and software developments to ensure merchants always get the most appropriate solution.
In Ireland, CIP will begin a new strategic partnership with Worldpay from FIS, and continue a successful partnership with Elavon, whose merchant services CIP has been providing since the start of the company in 2017 and where it has been valued as a Tier One partner since 2020.
Non-executive director Mike Chambers said: “CIP is excited to be extending its reach into the Republic of Ireland at a time when contactless payment volumes in Ireland have risen by 34.7% year on year to 3 million payments per day in Q1 2022, and the value of contactless payments rose by 40% to more than €49 million per day.
“CIP is delighted to be supporting merchants through high standards of customer service, an in-depth understanding of products that will suit the individual requirements of businesses and by providing transparent card processing solutions.”
