A Worcestershire businesswoman whose daughter was traumatised in a bullying incident has launched her own personal security company.
Christina Darling set up Bully Beacon to raise awareness of personal safety and to help the community feel safer through personal security technology.
She said: “Bullying is not only traumatic for the individual, it consumes the whole family. Our experience in which the police were involved after an incident on the way home from high school resulted in our daughter feeling too scared to go to school.
“Feeling safe, whether that is walking home from school, taking the dog out for a walk or running for fitness, should be the number one priority and Bully Beacon is our way of helping the local community to feel more confident, whatever the age. Our other big concern is the issue of spiking of drinks in pubs and clubs. I have heard many stories from worried parents who fear the dangers of their children going out at night.
“Bully Beacon is a family business which is on a mission to help other families feel safer and actively support an antibullying culture in our society.”
Christina is a Worcestershire Ambassador, a respected member of the local business community and founder of Prime Mix Marketing. After launching its range of personal alarms, Bully Beacon will soon be releasing a new range of anti-spiking devices.
