Business centre gets the ‘wow’ factor

15th Jun

Work has been completed on the communal spaces at Ergo, East Riding Council’s new £3.9m business centre.
Ergo has been developed by the authority in partnership with the University of Hull. With a focus on the renewable/low carbon sector, the centre is due to open in June 2018.
Hull-based Chameleon Business Interiors has now completed work on the centre’s office, conference and reception areas
Amanda Hoggart, the business centre’s manager, said: “This is the first time the council’s business services team has worked alongside an interior design company to provide a solution to give the finished product the ‘wow’ factor. Chameleon have certainly achieved this at Ergo.”
A key feature of the project included an intricate flooring design using an award-winning recycled product.
Kevin McIntosh, Chameleon’s head of design, said: “It has been fantastic to be involved in this exciting project which should prove to be an excellent asset for the local business community.
“Our client needed us to complete the work quickly and we met this deadline to complete a successful design and fit-out in this exciting new space.”
As well as UK offices in Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle, Chameleon Business Interiors also has a base in Toronto for North American projects.
