Eager househunters have snapped up luxury homes worth more than £2m at the launch of a highly anticipated new development in Welton.
Turpin’s Chase is the latest development by family-owned housebuilder Beal Homes and will feature three, four and five-bedroom homes, and three-bedroom bungalows, with prices ranging from £305,000 to £495,000.
Dozens of househunters attended the launch at Beal’s head office at Bridgehead business park in Hessle when the first 11 of the 52 homes at Turpin’s Chase were released.

David Knowles and partner Zoe Hubbert, who currently live in a nearby East Riding village, reserved a four-bedroom Canterbury home at the launch weekend.
David, 38, a systems development manager for the NHS, said: “We’ve renovated a house before and we now want a new-build. We looked at other housebuilders but we saw Turpin’s Chase and Beal has the edge on quality and value for money.
“The Canterbury has everything we want without having to compromise, including a double garage, a kitchen/diner and an en-suite bathroom.”
Maths lecturer Richard Davis, 50, from Elloughton, who reserved a three-bedroom Butterwick home, said: “I’m really happy. I like the area and the style of Beal homes. The quality is great and the location suits me perfectly for traveling to work.
“There is a nice mix of houses in Welton and the Beal developments complement the area. I’m really looking forward to living there.”
David and Theresa White, from Gilberdyke, also attended the launch weekend as they await the release of Beal Homes’ four-bedroom Swainby home at Turpin’s Chase.
Office manager Theresa, 50, said: “We love Welton and the quality and choice Beal offers because we have the flexibility to create exactly what we want.
“We’ve seen show homes at other Beal developments and we’re really excited waiting for the Swainby to be released. It will be our forever home and the location is perfect.”

Turpin’s Chase follows Beal’s previous development in Welton, Turpin’s Heath, which was completed in 2019. Both developments are named after highwayman Dick Turpin, who was captured at the site of Welton’s 17th-century coaching inn, The Green Dragon, in 1738.
