Export Academy’s free training will help firms sell with confidence around the world, says HEY LEP

17th Sep

The Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) has said it is keen to encourage companies across the region to explore global exporting opportunities.

The Export Academy, delivered by the Department for International Trade (DIT), is opening its doors again this September and welcomes those Hull and East Yorkshire companies who are looking to either take their first steps into exporting, or enter new markets.

The Export Academy gives small and micro-businesses the know-how to sell to customers around the world with confidence.

The free programme will equip participating companies with the tools to prepare their products and services for exporting and offers the following nine virtual modules:

  • Preparing to do international business
  • Basic export procedures
  • International market research
  • Export pricing and distribution
  • Customs procedures
  • Introduction to Incoterms rules
  • Export controls
  • Getting paid
  • Selling services overseas

Completion of the above modules can assist businesses in creating their own export action plan, which can then be used to support any future funding applications.

Whether you want to start exporting, or are looking to enter new markets, the Export Academy can help you to grow your business.
