Builders’ merchant boosts fleet investment after rise in demand

13th Jul

A well-known and family-run builders’ merchant in Kidderminster has added to its fleet in response to growing business demand from across the area.

The latest investment by Thompson & Parkes, which supplies a wide range of building and landscaping materials, comes as the business continues to develop its local trade and retail offer from its Kidderminster, Stourport and Oreton branches.

Company director Jean Morris said: “Thompson & Parkes has a reputation for reliability, delivering on time and in full, so to further enhance our service we have now added an additional 26-tonne MAN crane vehicle to our fleet.”

Thompson & Parkes, which has been established for more than 80 years, carries a full range of building, plumbing and landscaping products and offers a Dulux paint mixing and colour match service from its Stourport shop, which is open seven days a week supplying DIY, decorating and gardening tools and accessories.

Jean added: “Fitted with a full remote HMF crane and a reach of 8.3m means we can now access even the hardest to reach places for our customers.”
